CADVault for AutoCAD (includes CADVault Runtime)

If you use a supported version of AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT, download and install this file if

• you want to evaluate CADVault for AutoCAD to learn what it can do for you, or
• you plan to purchase or already purchased CADVault for AutoCAD, or
• you need to work with drawing files that contain secured content

Follow these steps to install CADVault for AutoCAD

1. Exit all running instances of AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT. Do not restart AutoCAD until the new file is installed.
2. Ensure that you are logged into Windows with administrative privileges.
3. If this is the first time CADVault for AutoCAD is being installed on this system, skip to step 5.
4. Run the Settings Export Utility to back up your configuration settings. This utility is located in the CADVault for AutoCAD application folder.
5. Run the downloaded MSI (Windows Installer) file. Before running the file, ensure that the publisher is "CADLock, Inc." and that the signature certificate is valid and trusted. If the file is not signed, or the certificate is not valid, CANCEL THE INSTALLATION and notify us immediately.

CADVault Runtime

Download and install this file if you do not already have CADVault for AutoCAD, and

• you received drawing files that contain secured content, or
• you created drawing files with secured content, and you want to test their behavior on another system with only CADVault Runtime installed, or
• your organization has some users that occasionally use AutoCAD to open drawings with secured content, but they don't need any of the extra capabilities offered by the full CADVault for AutoCAD application
